珠山八友当时的名称是“月圆会”，就是御窑厂停烧以后部分流落到民间的粉彩和瓷版画的高手。这里的“八友”分别是：王琦、王大凡、汪野亭、邓碧珊、毕伯涛、何许人、程意亭、刘雨岑。这其中江西人除外，王大凡、何许人和1904年出生八友中最年轻的艺人刘雨岑分别是徽州黟县、徽州歙县、和安徽太平（今黄山市黄山区）人。要再算上徐仲南、田鹤仙，珠山八友实则是十个人，这并不前后矛盾。正如“江西诗派”也并不全是“江西人”一样，“以味不以形也”。月圆会“珠山八友”也可以是指一个画家群体，在绘画上他们追求清代中期“扬州八怪”的风骨。

本次藏品为珠山八友王步的作品，王步(1898--1968)，字仁元，号竹溪，晚年所作青花瓷及中国画常署“陶青老人”，江西丰城县人。自幼学绘青花，喜画极为工细的鸟食罐、小文房等。1919年应聘入瓷业美术社担任仿古瓷的制作，朝夕临摹明、清官窑名品，深得古瓷画意构图之精髓。继之同景德镇陶瓷实业名家吴霭生合作，研制青花仿古，大有心得，1926年吴氏病逝，王步始启自身创作之端，采用水墨画的若干技法绘制青花，制作出雅致清新的作品，一洗晚清瓷画的繁琐陋习，为当时的陶瓷艺术界开启了一种崭新的风气。其技艺精湛独到青花绘画技巧被后世尊称为“青花大王”。

At that time, the name of the Eight Friends of Zhushan was "Full Moon Festival", which was a master of pastel and porcelain prints that had been scattered among the people after the imperial kiln factory ceased firing. The "eight friends" here are Wang Qi, Wang Dafan, Wang Yeting, Deng Bishan, Bi Botao, He Xuren, Cheng Yiting, and Liu Yucen. In addition to Jiangxi people, Wang Dafan, He He, and Liu Yucen, the youngest artist among the eight friends born in 1904, were from Yixian County, Huizhou, Shexian County, and Taiping (now Mount Huangshan District, Mount Huangshan City), Anhui respectively. Including Xu Zhongnan and Tian Hexian, the eight friends of Zhushan are actually ten people, which is not contradictory. Just as the "Jiangxi Poetry School" is not entirely "Jiangxi people", "taste is not form". The "Eight Friends of Zhushan" in the Full Moon Festival can also refer to a group of painters who pursue the style of the "Eight Monsters of Yangzhou" in the mid Qing Dynasty.

The collection this time is the work of Wang Bu, the Eight Friends of Zhushan. Wang Bu (1898-1968), also known as Renyuan and Zhuxi, made blue and white porcelain in his later years and was often referred to as "Tao Qing Lao Ren" in Chinese painting. He is from Fengcheng County, Jiangxi Province. I have been learning to draw blue and white since I was young, and I enjoy drawing extremely delicate bird food jars, small literary rooms, etc. In 1919, I applied to the Porcelain Art Society to work as a producer of antique porcelain, copying famous Ming and Qing official kilns day and night, deeply understanding the essence of ancient porcelain painting and composition. Following his collaboration with the renowned ceramic industry expert Wu Aisheng in Jingdezhen, he developed a blue and white antique model with great insights. In 1926, when Wu passed away, Wang Bu began to start his own creative journey, using several techniques of ink painting to draw blue and white, creating elegant and fresh works. The tedious and crude habits of washing late Qing porcelain paintings opened up a new atmosphere for the ceramic art community at that time. His exquisite and unique blue and white painting techniques are revered as the "King of Blue and White" in later generations.

近期我公司征集了一组珠山八友王步青花山水四条屏，藏品由四条屏组成，长方木框精致，上配镂雕团寿铜钩，内嵌白釉瓷板，胎质缜密坚实，釉面细腻润洁，其上以粉彩绘人物与自然相融合，构成情景交融的悠远意境。本次藏品青花山水四条屏是王步早期艺术娴熟的精品，整体青花发色青中微带蓝黑，给人以浑厚宁静之感，通体施白釉，釉下以青花山水图，豪放大气，整器釉面清亮细润，胎质细腻，厚薄适中，青花发色鲜艳明快。绘画布局细密有致，纹饰多集中于整幅绘画的右下方，留白颇多，力求画面清爽，同时又使无象的空白成为意象的空间。画面空灵开阔，显示了宏大的气魄。该瓷板画借白色的妙用，既体现了原材料的材质美，又使作品有宽敞、豁亮、轻松的效果。

The collection consists of four screens, with exquisite rectangular wooden frames and carved bronze hooks on top, embedded with white glazed porcelain plates. The body material is meticulous and solid, and the glaze is delicate and smooth. On top of them, pink painted characters blend with nature, creating a distant artistic conception of scenery blending. The blue and white landscape four screens in this collection are exquisite works of Wang Bu's early artistic proficiency. The overall blue and white hair color is medium to slightly blue black, giving people a sense of peace and tranquility. The whole body is coated with white glaze, and the underglaze is depicted with a blue and white landscape picture, which is bold and atmospheric. The entire glaze surface is clear and delicate, with delicate texture and moderate thickness. The blue and white hair color is bright and lively. The layout of the painting is delicate and exquisite, with the decorative patterns mostly concentrated in the lower right corner of the entire painting, leaving a lot of white space to strive for a refreshing image, while also making the blank space without image a space for imagery. The screen is ethereal and spacious, displaying grand grandeur.
